Jaya has been a founding shareholder and director of Aquarius since 1994.
Jaya brings with him a wealth of experience in building businesses, setting up corporate governance standards, handling employee and other external relationships. He has contributed significantly to the growth and financial success of Olam International Ltd., listed in Singapore and Redington (India) Ltd., listed in India. Till the year 2014, he was the Non-Executive Chairman of Olam International Ltd, a large player in Agricultural commodities space. He has been the executive director of Kewalram Chanrai Group of companies for well over three decades and now functions as a non-executive director.
Jaya was former Singapore's (Non-resident) High Commissioner to Mauritius for 13 years. Till recently, he was also the Chairman of Hindu Endowment Board, a Statutory Board in Singapore.
Jaya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant. He has attended the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
Thyagu is a seasoned banker with nearly four decades of experience in treasury, fund management, investment banking and risk management. Thyagu was a Treasurer at Canara Bank (one of India's leading public sector banks) in the early seventies. Subsequently, he became the Treasurer and Investment Bank Head for the Indian sub-continent of Citibank and later the Global Finance Area Executive for South Asia of the bank. He led one of the first GDR issues for an Indian corporation.
Since 1995, Thyagu has been a founder and the managing director of Aquarius. His key strength is his deep knowledge of India and its financial markets. He has excellent Indian corporate relationships, built during his years of investment banking tenure.
Thyagu is a post graduate in Science from the University of Madras and attended the Program for Management Development of the Harvard Business School.
Weng Keong is an experienced finance professional specializing in taxation. He spent two decades at Ernst & Young, where he was a former Country Managing Partner of the Singapore practice. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he spent four years with Brown and Root, a US Fortune 500 company, as their Far East Tax Manager. He is a Life Member, Board Member and immediate past President and Chairman of the Board of CPA Australia, a former Chairman of the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation, Singapore Branch and a Board member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Practitioners. He is an independent Director of a number of listed companies and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of Aquarius.
He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (London), a Fellow CPA (Australia), a Fellow CPA (Singapore), an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK) and an Accredited Tax Adviser (Singapore).
